Application Process Open For 2020 Cox “Tech Boost” Program

Cox Communications announced on October 1st that local nonprofit organizations are encouraged to apply to the company’s “Tech Boost” program for a chance to receive a technology ‘boost.’ Two $15,000 boosts will be presented to two nonprofit organizations in the company’s Northeast region. The Cox Tech Boost program was created to help nonprofit organizations invest in much-needed technology assets for the betterment of their patrons and mission.

Applications will be accepted Monday, September 9 through October 18, 2019. Nonprofit organizations should provide programming in one of the following focus areas: conservation and environment; early childhood education; empowering families and individuals for success; and community health. Additionally, the organization must serve the Cox Northeast region communities of Connecticut, Cleveland, Ohio, or Rhode Island.

Recognized nonprofits in the 2019 Tech Boost program used their boosts to invest in technology equipment and services – ranging from professional-grade video equipment to rugged tablets to laptops and docking stations – all with the common goal of enriching the lives of community members and completing their missions to the fullest.

Earlier this year, Cox presented Tech Boost grants to the Rhode Island Free Clinic, Save The Bay, Inc. and the Connecticut Audubon Society.
