Free Lunch And Concerts At Church Of The Ascension

The community is invited to enjoy lunch and concerts to entertain varied musical tastes beginning at noon on Sun., Oct. 16 at Church of the Ascension, located at 13216 Detroit Avenue in Lakewood.

A recital of unusual arrangements of hymn tunes will be performed by Linda & Friends, featuring Ascension’s organist, Linda Gardner, Steve Ashby on alto saxophone, and Margie Hildebrandt, soprano, with narration by Jon Peterson. This will be followed by a concert of Broadway show tunes presented by Lauren Dockery, alto and Gwen Stembridge, soprano, accompanied by Aaron Rutz, piano.

Lunch will be served at noon in Ascension Hall, and the music will begin at 1:00 in the sanctuary. All are welcome!
