Vote FOR The Ordinance To Avoid More Lawsuits, Needless Costs To Taxpayers

Dear Editor,

Lakewood voters have a choice this November: a state-of the-art family health center with a 24/7/365 emergency room and dozens of outpatient health care services at the same convenient downtown location--or yet another lawsuit.

A vote FOR the Ordinance guarantees our community can move forward and ensures that Lakewood will have high-quality healthcare for many years to come.

A vote against the ordinance—contrary to what issue opponents have claimed--will not re-open Lakewood Hospital, nor will it make some new health system appear to run the now-closed hospital. It would merely pave the way for another costly lawsuit—the fourth relating to the hospital—whereby opponents will seek to stop construction and delay access to dozens of outpatient health care services in our downtown.

Lakewood needs a new health care facility and the high-quality health care it will provide, not another lawsuit. Lakewood should vote FOR the Ordinance.

Sincerely,

Tanya Wagner
