LWV Presents Land And Water Forum On West Side

The League of Women Voters of Greater Cleveland will present a free forum on stormwater management on Monday May 2, 2016 at 7p.m., at Westlake Porter Library, 27333 Center Ridge Rd, Westlake. Ms. Kyle Dreyfuss-Wells, Deputy Director of Watershed Programs, Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (NORSD), will speak on "Land and Water: Fixing Combined Sewers and Managing Stormwater for Clean and Abundant Fresh Water."

It’s a subject most people would rather not think about, until their basements get flooded with rainwater, or worse, raw sewage. Ms. Dreyfuss-Wells knows how to address the subject with humor, in a way non-scientists can understand, and to make it seem desirable to do something about it, starting at home.

Ms. Dreyfuss-Wells graduated summa cum laude from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She earned master’s degrees with honors in both Public Affairs and Environmental Science at Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs, and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Samoa. Before joining NORSD, she was Director of the Chagrin River Watershed Partners, Inc.

This forum is co-sponsored by League of Women Voters of Greater Cleveland, West Side Chapters (Bay Village, Fairview Park, Lakewood, North Olmsted, Westlake, Rocky River) and by Westlake Porter Public Library.  It is free and open to the public.
