LEAF Progressive Dinner To Benefit Teacher Scholarships, Community Gardens

Do you have a passion for local food? Do you love meeting new people? Do you want to help support LEAF's educational and community garden programs?

If you answered "yes" to any of the questions above, then we hope you will join the Lakewood Earth and Food Community for a progressive dinner of local food and drink on Saturday, September 13th. The evening will begin at 5:30 p.m. with appetizers at LEAF's Madison Park Community Garden. Stroll through the Madison Community Garden while sampling appetizers made from the late summer harvest of Northeast Ohio. Guests will then split into smaller assigned groups to move onto the main course and drinks at the home of a fellow LEAF supporter. Both vegan and meat-based entrees will be available at each host's home. Finally, as the night comes to a close all guests will reconvene for dessert and coffee at LEAF's Kauffman Park Community Garden under the stars.

All proceeds from this event will go towards building LEAF's classroom teacher grant program for Lakewood City Schools as well as continuing to grow our community gardening programs throughout the city.

Do I have to already have a community garden plot with LEAF or belong to a CSA in order to attend?

No! Anyone is invited to attend and help support LEAF's mission. We look forward to meeting you!
