Colin Update 11/9/08

Wow! Colin had a lot of visitors today: Aunt Chris and Connor, Aunt Eve, Uncle Jon, Evan and Hope, Grandma and Grandpa Hughes, Cousins Theresa and Angie, brother Kevin and sister Megan, and the Premen Family. We probably should have drawn brackets and had a Uno challenge. Colin played a game or two (or three) with everyone that visited.

He didn’t have any therapy sessions today, but Colin was working his arm and leg on his own. He is excited that he can move them, and it has motivated him to lift and bend them repeatedly. Lying in bed today he raised his knee. At the table playing cards he lifted his arm to rest it on the table. This tires him, but he keeps doing it. I am happy to see the determination.

Colin did get moody again today. Unfortunately it was during lunch when company was here to see him. He got pouty and uncooperative. He ended up in bed watching TV and some of his visitors headed home. Thankfully they have promised to return another day.

During dinner he perked up. We finished his homework and vegged out in front of the TV. Later he snacked on Ritz Crackers and Easy Cheese in a Can. Yum!
