  • We head into the redone face of Horace Mann. This entrance will not be the ones used by students.
  • Construction manager speak tih Dr. Estrop and Mayor FitzGerald.
  • ASking when it would be done.
  • 70 days to go!
  • Hearing how helpful the building department has been.
  • The halls seem so much wider than I remember. No lockers, they are in the classrooms now.
  • The construction manager asks the Mayor "Is it hard keeping on budget?" The mayor answered, "The budget was not the tough part. Running the city on that budget will be tougher interesting."
  • Heading down the stairs.
  • Matthew Markling and Mayor Ed Fitzgerald head to the basement. Watch your step. The red steps were not even there yet!
  • Walking into one of the special rooms. Rick Berdine in front.
  • These halways were a little more corwded.
  • Looking out into the courtyard.
  • This hallway had a long way to go. This was with a flash.
  • This is with natural light.
  • Walking around the lower rooms.
  • Dave explaining some of the special features.
  • Back down the hallway.
  • Checking out the new cafeteria.
  • Checking out the new gymnasium.
  • One of the old entrances saved for the future.
  • Exit
  • The old auditorium most people never saw. At some point they drop the ceiling 20' and made it a regular classroom. Now it is another special room.
  • Rick Berdine, and Ed Fitzgerald. That Dave Estrop's arm.
  • Mayor Edward FitzGerlad, Superintendent Dr. David Estrop, and Schoolboard member Matthew Markling stand in front of the original relief of Horace Mann.
  • Emerson rooms seem farther along.
  • Wide hallways also featured at Emerson.
  • Mayor Edward FitzGerlad looks into Emerson's courtyard.
  • Some nice features. I believe Dr. Estrop also mentioned this could be a living learning center.
  • A lot od work in the hallways.
  • Matthew Markling and Mayor FitzGerlad were very sharp with asking questions.
  • The air recycling machine. This is real state of the art equipment that help with heat and cool, but scrubs the air of all particulates. Having been next to the one at Harding. It is amazing how quiet it is and how clean it makes the air.
  • A look inside at the device shows how it works.
  • Emerson's gymnasium.
  • In the kitchen the new equipment is being explained. The kitchen is truly state of the art.
  • As we leave Emerson, we are assured that the schools will be done on time. Construction manager explaining that they can bring in 85 workers or more if needed to finish on time.
