I was surprised to find out from his interpreter that he was the only deaf athlete in the Lakewood school system (football and basketball). He is not only good at both sports but very well liked by everyone.

Caught this shot as the "light" was dying in the efforts of the Lakewood HS baseball team playing against St. Edward HS. Originally in color, I simply call it "Coach" where B&W gives it more of an introspective look, in my opinion.
Senior activities plus the game itself
A race put on by Cleveland Clinic starting and ending in Lakewood Park. It's basically 3 races in one with a 1) timed mile 2) 5K and 3) children's run in the park
Students and faculty alike had their heads shorn to raise money to help fight pediatric cancer. Even the Principal got involved.
It started and finished in Edgewater Park but most of it was run on Lake Avenue in Lakewood.
Just moved here in Jan. 2015 from NYC where I was a retired teacher and then a photojournalist so now I'm looking for photographic opportunities here in my new home - Lakewood.
