Lakewood’s East Side development receives $4 million to clean-up and remediate the three properties around the Phantasy Theater and Nightclub redevelopment.
West 117 Development LLC, was awarded the money by The Ohio Department of Development.
The three sites were considered brown field. The tire/car dealership had asbestos and other issues. The two buildings behind the Phantasy were used for Japaning, i.e. the application of lead paint on things, and industrial mica manufacturing.
This will ease the burden on the development and make the new development possible.
