Assault - Road Rage - Police Caught Driver Of Silver Jeep! Updated!

Postby Jim O'Bryan » Tue Jun 08, 2021 2:41 pm

I was informed that the individual. Joseph Hyland, was arrested for assault, and is in the court system.

The cameras were able to get a good enough ID to track the man down.

Thank you and good work Lakewood Police!

Today around 3 pm a "large man with a beer belly got out of his vehicle and beat a man unconscious" then got back in his Silver SUV Older Style Jeep west towards Rocky River.

Road rage was the cause, as of this time the police cameras had both vehicles on video. Passenger in subject vehicle.

Man was still unconscious last we heard, ambulances just left the scene.

Any information call 216-521-6773

Thanks you.

With that professional description by the Lakewood Police of the assailant and the vehicle, I'm sure that someone will notify them and after the first 2,000 leads they follow up, the statue of limitations will run out. Other than big with a beer belly, I assume we not looking for a Sumo wrestler, and in this day and age, how do we know it was a man? Was the assailant, Asian, White, Black, Brown, bald or color of hair, tall, short, young, old, one armed, limping, etc. The vehicle body style, Jeeps have different models and they are quite different, do you know how many silver jeeps there are in this county alone?

Mr. Baker-- the description and use of the Observation Deck is meant to help bring justice to this incident---- not confuse it. Know the difference. Stan Austin

many of the bars and a few of the stores have cameras pointed outside.

it is either low priority or the law enforcement and district attorneys do not want to corrupt the case for prosecution. or the suspect has some juice.

Mr. Austin, how can a vague description bring justice? You suggesting that an accurate and complete description of the suspect will confuse apprehend him. Somehow, that defies common sense.

Richard

I thought you knew how this stuff works from your past.

Climb off Mr. Austin and get real.

This post was happening in real time. As it happened. The only "witness" was the old man knocked out cold, bleeding from the head. For nearly an hour, all they had was Silver Jeep, as seen by some people at the gas station. After checking 4 cameras they announced it was a SUV style Silver Jeep. At that point they could not see the license plate. Later that day they got a clear reading of the plate and went to his house to arrest him.

Using any description other than what was being said and verified would be worthless.
