Dedication of Close/Mercado Memorial Garden

In the early morning hours of February 21, our community tragically lost Lakewood High Class of 2020 graduates Max Close and Alejandro Mercado. Through the support of the Lakewood Council of PTAs, the West Shore Career-Tech District, LHS teacher Shannon Snare and her horticulture classes, the City of Lakewood’s Forestry Manager Sam Bonvisutto, and Volkswagen of Streetsboro, a memorial garden has been created at Lakewood High School to honor Max and Alejandro. Family, friends, classmates, and the entire Lakewood community are invited to attend the dedication ceremony in front of LHS on Tuesday, May 25 at 6:00 p.m.
