Last night a high speed car chase that started in Ottawa County ended in Lakewood.

The driver of an Ford F-150 pick up truck being chased by police at speeds over 100 mph.

The truck that police attempted to pull over by Camp Perry in Erie Township and the driver and passenger took off.

Police later were able to flatten two tires but that did not matter until the second tire fell off in a shower of sparks on I-90.

The driver bailed and took off through backyards in the area of Warren and I-90. Lakewood police shut down the area and waited as more police and a helicopter arrived to help look.

Around 3am Lakewood Police found and arrested Daron Falkner of Bedford Heights, where he was returned to Ottawa County jail.

More charges are pending.

Yet another person from out of Lakewood ending up in Lakewood committing crime.

While all of this seems very frustrating, how do you stop it?

Lakewood Police, Rocky River Police, and State Troopers good work! Thank you.

THAT IS COMPLETELY .

This sounds like something which could have gone wildly wrong, in so many ways.

Definite value in training and preparation, at work.

Yikes.

Matt

It was amazing to hear and watch. Once Lakewood sets up a perimeter the perp might as well give himself up. I have seen it take over an hour, but sooner or later someone moves, someone sees it, and the deal comes down.

This time dogs and helicopters were involved.

Good work Lakewood!
