It was notable on the city “fact sheet” for the development plan, posted in the other thread by pjbennett, that the question of the lawsuit was addressed.

The city downplayed any effect the lawsuit might have on the development, which is likely true, but it implied that they were confident it wasn’t going anywhere.

Which is pretty funny considering we’re coming up on THREE YEARS of it being on the active docket. It hasn’t gone away at all and recently three Appeals justices heard oral arguments in the case.

The fact that it still has not been disposed of speaks volumes.

Mark

Thank you for going through the documents again. Some of these have been posted before, some have not.

Every time, Lakewoodites that need to read these have excuses for not looking at them, and thereby not looking at the utter failure, if not the corruption of City Hall.

I have heard over the past three years, When Markling tried to explain some of these, "Well you know he is a Republican," I don;t trust Republicans, Then when Brian Essi posted them, "Well you know Brian is kind of nasty." Which of course happened while Build Lakewood members and friends of the Mayor went enforce to Lakewood Police to file false charges on him. Then Mayor's Summer's employee at City Hall and on his campaign attacked him. Then I posted some and it was, "Well you know Jim, gets wound up." Then you posted some and people said, "Well he has an ax to grind." Which was an utter lie. And the Bill Call, and Bridget, Margarette, others and each time they attacked the messenger but never once bothered to read the message.

Had they, they would have seen how Mayor Summers, Council members Tom Bullock, Mary Louise Madigan, Juris, Powers, Marx misrepresented the facts, made things up and lied. Yes lied, so that they could close Lakewood Hospital, for the benefit of their own agenda and the benefit of friends and supporters. Lakewood City Hall failed at their most sacred task, being our protectors, and fiduciary agents.

Now as we look at the new documents, while still looking back we see that Jen Pae's numbers never added up then, and still do not. We see City Hall continuing their misrepresentation of all facts. And still some of the employees and members of their committees attacking any messenger or resident that dares to question them. Their defense borders on criminality.

And through it all, they still refuse to release a majority of the documents that were requested. Instead they produce false records, stonewall the courts and try to bargain down, instead of all of these documents how about just these. Why? It has become increasingly clear, This has basically ridden the razor's edge of being a criminal enterprise to benefit a handful of supporters who names are well known to all of use, and have been for decades as they tried again and again to desperately get their way at the expense of the rest of the community.

Mark, and everyone fighting for the truth, the facts and the understanding of what happened, I appreciate your efforts.

.

It is all useless talk at this point. Who will ever be held accountable for the theft of Lakewood Hospital the revenue and property?

Years of discussion and lawsuits have yielded nothing that I can see. I wish that was not true.

Maybe voting out the creeps will help something, but not enough.

How devious can one Mayor be?

It is unbelievable. What city wouldn't want this?

Hi Mark,

The Summer's Administration had stated several times that MetroHealth did not respond with an offer to run Lakewood Hospital and also that Metro pulled away. The truth was that Summers and Dr. Boutros had a mutually agreed date for Mike Summers to get back to Dr. Boutros with an answer.

Mike Summers very unprofessionally blew Dr. Boutros and the MetroHealth Proposal off by NOT responding. THEN Metro felt they had to withdraw. I have friends and clients who work at Metro. Metro was very open with their employees about their proposal. The Metro employees I know that it was great and were shocked that the City of Lakewood did not respond and then denied that the proposal was made.

The City of Lakewood just bold faced LIED about MetroHealth's intentions to the public.

Surgical Development Partners Tried to Make a Proposal to Operate the Hospital

In this series of emails, we can see some of the efforts made by Surgical Development Partners to submit a proposal to the City to operate the hospital. This effort was something of an embarrassment to the City, as you can sense by the tone of Mr. Butler's email. (There is also a tremendous amount of sheer BS in Mr. Butler's email.)

About this time, Lakewood city council members were engaged in non-public deliberations that became the subject of the Skindell v. Madigan lawsuit.

Bill Call wrote:If the people on City Council and the Lakewood Hospital Association Board had done half as much thinking on this subject as Mr. Kindt we would still have a hospital in Lakewood.

City Council still has the chance to redeem itself.

Indeed, I absolutely agree with you.

All:

The best thing that some members of council can do about this deal(or steal) is to send a letter to the state auditor and demand an audit because as Mark Kindt and others have shown there are some funny numbers floating around that raise all kinds of red flags. It's pretty apparent that Summers and his lapdogs on council passed are using the same tactic that they used to get the Master Agreement approved
in order to pull off this deal and rip off the residents of this city once again.
