SPRING IS HERE!

While it doesn’t always feel like spring in Northern Ohio it officially arrived this morning as we were finishing up delivering papers to locations all around Lakewood, Cleveland and Rocky River. After all it pays to spread the word about the city we all love.

In this issue two discussions continue, both Bunts Road project, and Lakewood Schools trying to close as many as 1-3 schools that the Board of Education assured us they needed to be built or rebuilt just a couple years ago. The residents lined up and awarded them over $250,000,000 over the past 15 years, and now we find out according to them that at least $50,000,000(?) was wasted and not needed. While the groups argue over the breeding practices of Lakewoodites, I see it simply as a management issue.

Since the start of the School rebuilds and the many bond issues(building) and levy issues(running schools) not to be confused I have argued for every one of them. Simply put, never punish the kids, ALWAYS hold the BOE and management responsible for how the money is spent, or in this case wasted.

We also cover Cove Community Center, good news from the schools, which is a lot, and everything else we can get to in Lakewood. Businesses, non-profits, residents, City Hall, Schools and more all have space in the paper. All you have to do is get the information to us. It is that simple.

So please stop by and pick up a printed copy of your only local paper, and consider joining with us to share your story, photos, news and information. It is always FREE, and always different.

If you cannot make it to one of the many businesses, or apartment mailrooms around town you can download the digital version here:

See you in two weeks!
