Mid-Day 2 Car Accident Closes Riverside Dr. - Now Open
A two car accident in the middle of West Clifton, and Riverside Drive, closed down both lanes of Riverside for about an hour.
It appears that a car traveling North on Riverside glanced off a car turning on to Riverside off of West Clifton.
Drivers were transported, but did not seem in pain.
This man got off the gurney and climbed into the Ambulance.
The area was cleaned up, and cars towed by Kufner, all is back to normal.
Tough month on Riverside!

That intersection and area of Riverside is dangerous.
The speed limit going northbound changes there but no one slows down.
The geometry of that corner is not conducive for safe turns -I’ve lived there for almost 40 years and I can’t tell you how many times cars have run up on my lawn (and crashed into my next door neighbor’s home.)
Finally, trying to get on Riverside from WC is difficult. You can’t see much looking north because they let cars park in front of the apartment building, blocking your view down Riverside. It also blocks your view of Graber so you often cannot see a car turning onto Riverside southbound from Graber .
So many squeals, near misses, horns blaring, and crashes. The soundtrack of life on West Clifton.

Riding a motorcycle, requires constant vigilance to avoid an accident. I constantly see vehicles only slowing down for stop signs, run traffic lights after they have turned red, or not paying attention making lefts in front of me, or looking directly at you and still pulling out of a side street or drive. Don't blame the streets, it's careless driver who are distracted, in a hurry, or breaking traffic laws causing the accidents. However, if the intersection has that many accidents, I suggest the city petition the state to install a traffic light.
