Fred R. Unwin illustrates the humble genius of architect Frank Lloyd Wright with an appreciation of the Weltzheimer/Johnson house in Oberlin, Ohio. One of the few Usonian homes open to the general public, it stands as a brick and redwood example of Wright’s vision of stylish, affordable middle class living. It may still have much to teach us about making homes in the twenty-first century.

LPL'S WEB SITE FOCUS: Lakewood Historical Society
The Lakewood Historical Society collects, preserves and interprets the history of Lakewood, Ohio. The society operates the Oldest Stone House Museum, an 1834 stone house furnished to the mid-nineteenth century, and the Nicholson House, a rental facility. The society also provides a wide variety of services to the community, including a photographic collection of over 14,000 images; award winning school programs, special events, public programs and historical research.
