SUPERCOLLIDER: Fantasy, Science Fiction and More

Do you have an unstoppable imagination? Are you overwhelmed by alternate realities? Join unicorn sympathizer Christine Weaver as she hurls science fiction and fantasy together at high velocities to produce lively discussion and debate. Visit www.lkwdpl.org/bookclubs to learn more.
Vurt by Jeff Noon
Vurt is a barely legal cyber drug ingested by tickling the back of the throat with one of a range of feathers. This designer drug delivers a collective dreaming experience that can be both sweet lullaby and deadly experiment.
7:00 p.m. in the Main Library Meeting Room

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 2

Afternoon Movie: His Girl Friday (1940)

Directed by Howard Hawks
Here’s your chance to sample one of our Saturday night movies on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Newspaper editor Cary Grant will do anything to keep his ex-wife, ace reporter Rosalind Russell, from remarrying. He loves her almost as much as the newspaper business and thinks nothing of framing her fiancé and freeing death row prisoners to lure her back for one last big story.
2:00 p.m. in the Main Library Auditorium
