NEORSD And Your Regional Future - Beware

Postby Bill Call » Tue Sep 28, 2010 6:51 am

The Plain Dealer is upset that towns and cities are challenging the right of the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District to tax their communities.

The NEORSD is insular, corrupt, unrepsonsive and as incompetent as the Cleveland Cuyahoga Port Authortity. Yet the Plain Dealer thinks it has the right to ride roughed shod over the people that pay its bills.

Get ready for a big push by the PD to impose added costs on Lakewood residents as part of the "regional" solution.

The Plain Dealer's new found concern about County Corruption is a subterfuge for the drive for a regional government. For years they lived comfortably with that corruption.

In a side note: The County has announced the existence of a $50 million slush fund to fund the Medical Mart. A couple of years ago the County "found" $40 million to buy the Ameritrust Building. How many other millions are slushing around? There must be story there somewhere.

Lived comfortably on and even supported and nurtured that corruption.

Bill, you and I can talk till we are blue in the face talking about how many ways regionalism
does not serve Lakewood well. But the powers to be in this town, have drank the snake-oil
hell some civic leaders in this town make a living pushing regionalism, and funding the
massive overly redundant regionalism PR machine.

Unless this town wakes up very quickly and takes some action, we are headed to "West Cleveland."
