Scents Make a Difference in Single Moms Lives Walk to help
10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

The 4th annual event for single moms in public housing, is here. I was once a single mom in public housing and we didn't experience anything like aroma therapy. We smell dirty diapers, girls teenage orders, not to mention boys horrendous tennis shoes smell. Single moms don't think about themselves and are happy for all the attention with their children. They sacrifice a lot, unrewarded and forgotten in public housing.

Good smelling scents for them is unheard of. Brand new, good smelling , name brand products and makeup doesn't fit into their monthly budget where their boys can eat a box of cereal in 2 days. Can you bring products to Grace Presbyterian Church, 1659 Rosewood (off Detroit) any Sunday in September from 10:00-12:00?
To top that, we are having a 2nd annual Single Moms in public housing walk at Lakewood Park September 28 from 10:00 - noon, If you don't want to walk, there will be games & prizes. The moms are so excited to have feminine products just for them.

Learn and practice meditation to calm the mind and develop compassion. Ideal for beginners as well as more experienced practitioners!

We do various practices including Mindfulness of Breathing Meditation (Shamatha-Vipassana) and The Practice of Exchange (Tonglen), a meditation designed specifically for developing a compassionate heart.

As each session includes meditation instruction and a Dharma talk led by Ani Palmo, this is a perfect opportunity to learn the basics of Buddhism for those who are curious or would like a refresher.

Come sit with us!

These sessions are also shared live on Youtube!
