LHS Barnstormers Drama Club and the George P. Reed Performing Arts department proudly present Anastasia: The Musical! Inspired by the beloved film, Anastasia transports us from the twilight of the Russian Empire to the euphoria of 1920s Paris, as a brave young woman sets out to discover the mystery of her past. Pursued by a ruthless Soviet officer, Anya enlists the aid of a dashing conman and a lovable ex-aristocrat. Together, they embark on an epic adventure to help her find home, love, and family.

APOLLO'S FIRE TO PERFORM AT WEST SHORE UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST CHURCH

The internationally acclaimed Apollo’s Fire will perform "Exile & Resilience: Music of the Jewish & African Diasporas" on Friday, March 10 at 7:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary at West Shore Unitarian Universalist Church located at 20401 Hilliard Blvd in Rocky River. Though stolen from their homeland and scattered across the world, both Jews and Africans found strength in their music. Discover the rhythms of the Jewish ghetto in 1620 - dances and prayers from the Ashkenazy, Sephardic, Jewish baroque, and North African traditions. A company of 24 musicians including Jewish, Arab, and African-American artists, raise their voices in love and celebration. There will be a Pre-concert Talk by guest artists, Yiddish soprano Polina Shepherd and Israeli recorder/ney player Daphna Mor, one hour before the performance.
