Artist Talk: Ethan Samaha
6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Join Kaiser Gallery for a special Artist Talk with Ethan Samaha and see his solo exhibit Lateral Perspective at Kaiser Gallery! 'Lateral perspective' explores perception and perspective using wall based neon designs. The works question what’s in-front, behind, top, and bottom. Changing the viewer’s perspective as they traverse the space. Exploring the relations of color and form, these designs will range from monochrome to saturated, and will display subtle color shifts.

Ethan Samaha is a visual artist working within light and space. Utilizing neon and sculpture to get an understanding of time, space, and perceptions in installations. He received a BFA in Sculpture and Dimensional Studies with minors in Performance Design & Technology and Dance from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University in 2021.

Recent exhibitions/publications include The Hum and The Buzz, Neolite Gallery, St. Peters, Australia; 8th Annual Glass National Juried Exhibition, Workhouse Arts Center, Lorton, VA; Limitless, Florence Contemporary Gallery, Florence, Italy; New Glass Review, Issue 41, The Corning Museum of Glass, Corning, NY.

For 30 years H20 has built a legacy of affecting powerful change by helping others through volunteerism. Now’s your chance to celebrate three decades of Lakewood’s incredible young people.

H2O “Help to Others” will host H2O Tributary Bash: A Seat at the Table on Saturday, February 4, 2023, from 7:00pm - 11:00 pm at Lakewood’s new Cove Community Center. This 30th anniversary party and fundraising event serves as a unique opportunity to celebrate an innovative program that has become part of the fabric of our community through empowering each generation of young Lakewoodites to better the world around them.

Tickets go on sale December 15th and are expected to sell out. Make plans to be a part of this once-every-five-years night of festivities, fun and philanthropy. H2O Tributary Bash: A Seat at the Table will feature games, food from Karen King Catering, a live auction, raffle prizes and more.

H2O was founded in 1993 with 10 students and an initial project involving a grassroots effort to recycle telephone books. Today, 30 years later, this service organization has seen thousands of students contribute 100,000+ hours of volunteer work on projects ranging from youth mentoring to clothing and book drives to community beautification.

Don’t miss out on a seat at the table to celebrate this 30-year Lakewood legacy. Thanks to programs like H2O, the future truly does belong to our youth.
