Bugsy Malone
3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Based on the hit 1976 film, and featuring a catchy, swinging score by the composer of The Muppet Movie, Bugsy Malone is good, clean, comedic fun! Two gangs comprised completely of children, square off in a 1920s rivalry of Capone-ian standards. Bugsy Malone, a one-time boxer, is thrust not-so-willingly into the gangster limelight when all he really wants to do is spend time with his new love, Blousey, but that just isnt in the cards for our hero. A master class in musical comedy, this show is a fun escape for adults and children alike!

What is that sound we hear? Barking? Woofing! Yapping! All dogs in Lakewood and surrounding communities are joining together to ask their humans to help their fellow canines (and felines) in the Ukraine.

Grace Presbyterian Church of Lakewood is holding a dog event to raise money to help the Ukrainian pets--all those left behind.

The Blessing of the Dogs and a Home-Town Dog Show will be held at Grace Church, 1659 Rosewood (corner of Hilliard and Madison) on Sunday, May 15th from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM . Fun trophies will be awarded; vet-approved homemade gourmet dog treats will be sold at the "Barkery", Human food (hot dogs, of course!) is also available, and folks and their fur kids can have their Christmas pictures taken early. Rev. Lou will offer a blessing to all dogs, both in Lakewood and the poor pups (and other pets) in the Ukraine.

So bring your dogs for a doggone good time and a worthy cause. For information, call Nancy Sander @ 216-571-3611. Mail-in donations are also welcome. Send to: Grace Presbyterian Church, 1659 Rosewood Ave., Lakewood, OH 44107; ATTN: Dogs in the Ukraine.
