Cuyahoga County Solar Co-op Meeting
6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
The Cuyahoga County Department of Sustainability and the nonprofit Solar United Neighbors will present a free information session for home and business owners interested in going solar. Topics include the history of solar power, financial incentives including the 30% Federal Solar Tax Credit, typical warranties and longevity, financing options including the County's low interest HELP Loan program. Finally attendees will learn how to save money by joining with other consumers to form a buyer's Co-op. Co-op members save by making a bulk purchase. When the C-op reaches sufficient size members solicit bids from installers and choose democratically from among those bids. There is no obligation. Members can quit at any time. Please take advantage of this opportunity to learn about this new technology without having to listen to a high pressure sales pitch.
