It’s time for Light Up Lakewood,

It’s that special time of year,

It’s that time for warmth and giving.

When we’re filled with love and cheer;

It will make you feel happy,

When you see the trees and lights,

When you see the children smiling,

As they gage upon the sights;

There’ll be strolling carolers singing,

Lakewood City School Choirs,

Performers from Beck Center,

Fun and games for all desires;

It starts in downtown Lakewood,

On Lakewood Hospital Green,

With Santa and surprises,

It will be a Christmas dream;

See stores with decorations,

Of tinsel, lights and holly,

And ride from Rockport Square,

On the Trolly known as Lolly;

Then at Lakewood Public Library,

Holiday crafts of different trends,

With lots of story telling,

Plus Santa and his friends;

So come join Light Up Lakewood,

Just return to years of past

And enjoy the fun of yesteryear,

By making memories that will last.
