On Wednesday, November 14th, Lakewood United Methodist Church hosted a Native American Spirit Feast; sponsored by the East Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church, and by the American Indian Intertribal Association of Toledo.

This event, formerly held in Cleveland for many years, has now moved to the Lakewood church, and was well attended.

A Spirit Feast celebrates the ancestors and the time of harvest. It also marks a rededication to Grandfather (as Diety is often referred to by Native Americans).

A Christmas time Native American Gathering is also scheduled at Lakewood United Methodist Chuch on Saturday, December 8th, from 12:30-4:00pm.
