Spring Luncheon, Fashion Show, and Boutique
Lakewood Congregational Church (LCC) announces that its second annual Spring Tea will be held on Saturday, May 19th. In keeping with the wonderful response to last year’s tea, called “Tea and Tulips”, this year’s tea will feature lunch, a fashion show of the Coldwater Creek spring and summer lines, and a boutique. This is a wonderful way to welcome spring for women of all ages.
The vendors who will be present include Local Girl Gallery, Ginny’s Originals, C Sharp Notes, The Sensational Soap Lady, and The Ark. In addition, hanging baskets will be available courtesy of LCC’s Genesis Circle.
Proceeds from the event will help support the outreach projects of LCC, which include participation in The Interfaith Hospitality Network (providing a week of housing, meals, and fellowship for homeless families four times a year), the monthly community meal, and Project Angel Tree (sponsorship of children with incarcerated parents at Christmas). In addition, the youth of LCC annually bring awareness to the issue of homelessness through the January Sleep Out, and travel each summer to different areas of the country on mission trips with projects ranging from working in day care centers to home repair and construction to serving in soup kitchens.
The doors will open at 11 AM for shopping, with lunch being served at 12:30. The boutique will stay open after lunch until 2:30. Lakewood Congregational Church is located at 1375 West Clifton Blvd. on its northeast corner with Detroit Avenue, in Lakewood. There is ample parking on West Clifton and behind the church. The building is handicap-accessible through the parking lot. Tickets are $15 and are available by calling 440-871-3396.
