Make the Grade with Homework ER
Our brand new homework room offers a quiet space for study and all kinds of educational resources to complete your homework. Students who take advantage of Homework ER will find many of the Lakewood schools’ textbooks, reference materials and basic school supplies. There are also friendly and knowledgeable librarians available to give guidance and direction and empower the students to utilize the library and help themselves answer questions.
Teachers and parents agree that students who participate in homework programs have more complete homework and improved reading skills. Research also shows that homework centers increase self esteem, help students expand their network of friends, create bonds between students and adult homework staff and most importantly provide a safe environment for study.
Students in kindergarten through eighth grade are invited to participate in Homework ER. There is no need to register and Homework ER is in session Monday through Thursday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Main Library. Homework ER will be closed for school holidays and vacations. Please call the Children’s and Youth Services Department at (216) 226-8275 extension 140 for additional information.
