Geiger's Family of clothing, ski and sport retail stores, founded 75 years ago, is asking its thousands of customers to come up with their "favorite Geiger memory" and write a brief essay describing that memory. All entries will be reviewed by a panel of judges and the essay deemed the "Best Geiger Memory" of the past 75 years will win its author a $750 Gift Card at Geiger's. "We've been a part of the retail landscape of Lakewood for a long time," said current owner and third generation Geiger's President, Chas Geiger. "We're working on a history of our family stores, and are hoping our customers will provide us with their special memories of their experiences with the Geiger family."

Participants in the contest are asked to pick up an entry blank at any Geiger's store, visit our website at www.shopgeigers.com, or write Geiger's Contest, 14710 Detroit Avenue, Lakewood, OH 44107. Then, in 300 words or less, describe their favorite Geiger's memory. It could be a unique in-store experience, or something special that happened with a purchase from Geiger's. Decision of the judges will be final. There will also be eight runner-up prizes of a $75 Geiger's gift card for the best memory of each of the eight decades Geiger's has been providing its unique blend of outstanding brands and thoughtful, knowledgeable service to its customers. The contest closes on October 31, 2007.
