Lakewood Senior Health Campus
During the week of September 7, 2008, Lakewood Senior Health Campus celebrated National Assisted Living Week. The week was kicked off with a Grandparents’ Day Social on Sunday, followed the rest of the week by events for the residents and staff:
Adopt-A-Soldier – A collection is currently underway for food and personal items for our overseas troupes. A list of needed items and collection box is located in the entryway of the assisted living building at 1381 Bunts Road.
Hat Parade – Residents and staff paraded down Bunts to Detroit and into the skilled nursing facility to bring cheer to all the long term care residents, as well as those recuperating from an illness or injury!
Art Gallery – Residents and staff displayed their craft-making talents!
Baby Picture Contest – Lots of fun to see the staff, and a few residents, when they were babies!
Casino Night!
First Responder Appreciation Party – On 9/11, residents and staff honored our first responders for putting their lives in danger every day. A small ceremony commenced followed by cake and punch. The residents and staff got a close-up look at the inside of an ambulance and fire truck!
An Ice Cream Sundae Social, served up by the Director of Assisted Living and the Administrator, capped off the week!
