Healthy Lakewood Foundation to Host Inaugural Community Meeting

The Healthy Lakewood Foundation (HLF) is pleased to invite the City of Lakewood community to a public meeting on Tuesday, September 24th. This is an opportunity to learn about activities since the foundation was formed in 2018, and engage with the HLF Board of Directors.

HLF is pursuing the vision of Lakewood as a place where all people achieve their fullest health potential and working to advance programs, policies, and practices that inspire a community in which health and wellness are reflected in all aspects of life.

The Board is eager to share progress made over the past year to advance organizational development and strategy, and formalize the processes and priorities that will guide future work on behalf of the community. The Board will provide summary reports covering their collective work and engage members of the community for their feedback and input.

“I am very inspired to be part of this Board - our 17 members have an impressive range of experience and expertise in many areas relevant  to population health and philanthropy. We share a common love for the City of Lakewood and a desire to continue the legacy of health and wellness for all citizens,” said Becca Baas, a member of the HLF Board.

The community meeting will be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, September 24th at the Woman’s Club Pavilion, located at Lakewood Park, 14532 Lake Avenue. Light refreshments will be served.

Community members who plan to attend are requested to register at: www.healthylakewoodfoundation.eventbrite.com
