Hannah, All-Conference Honors Highlight Spring Season

It was a thrilling spring sports season at Lakewood High as the school had its first Regional champion in track and field in years when senior Tyler Hannah captured the 300 meter hurdles crown, as well as placing 3rd in the 110 hurdles. Tyler went on to place 4th (300 meters) and 7th (110 meters) in the state. The baseball team’s first-round playoff win over North Olmsted was also a highlight.

Each team also had members named to the All-Southwest Conference teams or earn an honorable mention. The following were singled out for their outstanding performance over the season:

Baseball: Jared Yocabet (1st Team); Armani Adames, Jameson Supinski (2nd Team); Terence Checkett, Albert Wilhelmy (Honorable Mention); and Sean Miller (Sportsmanship Award)

Softball: Maizy Cunningham, Abbie Tuleta (2nd Team); Sabrina Hamdan, Tara Kantora (Honorable Mention); Hannah Martin (Sportsmanship)

Boys’ Tennis: Tru Smith (1st Team and Sportsmanship); Ben Swartz (Honorable Mention)

Boys’ Track & Field: Tyler Hannah, Cormac Peppard-Kramer, Devon Brown, Jack Hueter (1st Team); Alvin Musai and Ahmed Muhammed (Honorable Mention); Aiden Zingale (Sportsmanship)

Girls’ Track & Field: Ebony Bradford and Teegan McGann (Honorable Mention); Alissah Lopez (Sportsmanship)
