The Community Leader Award honors a woman who has demonstrated excellence in leadership through deep local understanding and outstanding initiative. She consistently advances community-driven, innovative, and sustainable solutions to the region's most pressing challenges, and service to either one organization or a variety of volunteer activities.

Congratulations to The Business Leader nominees, Allison Urbanek, Brandi Larsen, Ines Rehner, Jennifer Truchon and Sharon Marrell.

The Business Leader Award honors local Business Leaders and will recognize a woman who reflects quality and dedication in the operation of a small business in Lakewood; or, who plays a key role in establishing and implementing an economic development vision in Lakewood. She serves as a role model and participates in community affairs and activities contributing time, effort, and resources. She is an agent for change who shows creativity in business decisions or in development of specific products or services, and who will continue progress.

The Women Honoring Women Celebration will take place on May 16th at 6:00 PM at Georgetown/Vosh at 1414 Riverside Drive in Lakewood.

We hope to see you there to have some fun, get inspired and recognize the outstanding charitable service and economic enrichment in the Lakewood community.

Tickets can be purchased at www.lakewoodwomensclub.org, or at eventbrite:https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2019-women-honoring-women-tickets-54833070189.

Denise Dufala will be our keynote speaker. In 2017, Denise teamed up with Project Love/Values In Action Foundation to become National Ambassador for their Be Kind Stick Together school-based anti-bullying program. Her anti-bullying themed children’s book Bomba The Brave was published in May of 2018. We will have books available for sale that night and Denise would love to sign them for you.

Doors open at 6 pm and drinks and food are included in the ticket price. There will be a silent auction loaded with cool prizes that have been donated by our local community.

Proceeds go to the 2018/2019 Grant Recipient: Gigi’s Playhouse and to our College Scholarship Award Recipient.

With less than four weeks away, we are hoping to sell out again! Be a part of a truly inspirational, exhilarating and bonding evening!
