Church Of The Ascension Hosts Carols Sing-Along To Benefit Lakewood Community Services Center

The community is invited to enjoy singing holiday and Christmas carols from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. on Sun., Dec. 16, at Church of the Ascension, located at 13216 Detroit Avenue in Lakewood. A free-will offering will support Lakewood Community Services Center.

This acapella sing-along in the sanctuary offers fellowship and cheer apart from worship. Ghiradelli hot cocoa and cookies will be served following the caroling.

For those who would like to participate in Christmas worship but have too many holiday demands to attend church on the eve or day, Ascension offers Christmas Lessons & Carols with Holy Eucharist and a Pop-up Nativity, followed by a free holiday feast on Sun., Dec. 23. A brass and organ prelude is at 3:30 p.m., and the service begins at 4:00 p.m. All are welcome to take Communion, and all children will be invited to join in the pop-up Nativity, if they wish.

Christmas Day will be celebrated with Holy Eucharist, trumpets and carols at 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 25., followed by refreshments and hot cocoa. All are welcome!
