Peace By Piece Cleveland’s “1st Annual Battle Of The Bars” Showdown October 12, 2018

Getting the most out of life. It’s what we all strive for, but how does it happen? Peace by Piece Cleveland is a non-profit organization that is helping individuals with developmental disabilities discover how to get the most out of life with enriching experiences that explore the possibilities.

To further that goal, Peace by Piece Cleveland’s “1st Annual Battle of the Bars” has been waging for months to see which bar or tavern can raise the most money for the Peace by Piece Cleveland fundraiser on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Around the Corner Saloon & Cafe, 18616 Detroit Avenue. Please help the program expand throughout the greater Cleveland area and support more community members in need by joining us at 6:00 p.m. for a great night of food, drink and entertainment.

YOUR $20 TICKET COVERS: Food, beverage and live music from 6PM-8PM at Around the Corner Saloon & Cafe. All proceeds help benefit Peace by Piece Cleveland's services for adults with disabilities within our greater Cleveland community.

A special performance from a talented group of Peace by Piece Cleveland members will highlight the evening as they sing an original song they have written about what the program means to them.

Peace by Piece Cleveland provides individuals with therapeutic classes, including music therapy, art therapy and adapted exercise. Nutrition consulting with a Registered Dietician and job placement services at local businesses and restaurants are also available. Participants regularly travel to Lakewood Public Library to enjoy all the services the library has to offer, including classes in computer technology, job searching and life skills training.

It was in one of these classes that the group wrote and practiced their amazing song with the help of library staff members Michael Dirse and Jocelynn Lash.

Lakewood Public Library has teamed up with Peace by Piece Cleveland as part of their ongoing effort to serve the needs of Lakewood and its surrounding communities as it has for over 100 years. Along with traditional services and programming, the Library has partnered with the non-profit and social good community by providing classes, facilities and sponsorship to organizations such as Connecting for Kids, Northeast Ohio Veterans Affairs, the up side of downs, the Senior Veterans Administration, University Hospitals, T.A.S.O., Case Western Laura & Alvin Siegal Lifelong Learning Program, MAHO and the Huntington’s Disease Society of America.

Please support the work that Peace by Piece Cleveland is doing by joining us at Around the Corner Saloon & Cafe on October 12, 2018 for a great night of food, drink, entertainment and fun!
