The Friends’ Fall Book Sale

“A good friend is like a four-leaf clover; hard to find and lucky to have.”  Irish Proverb

For over 40 years a small group of volunteers have devoted themselves to you, the people of Lakewood, and the city’s library. Their goal? To enrich the lives of local residents with concerts, educational programs and cultural experiences with the sole caveat that everything would be absolutely free and available to everyone. They accomplish this ambitious goal with tiny membership dues and deep discount book sales.

The next Friends’ Fall Book Sale Preview is on Thursday, October 4, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Become a Friends’ of Lakewood Public Library member and get a sneak peek at the selections for as little as three dollars right at the door.

The Friends’ Fall Book Sale is on Saturday, October 6, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Both sales take place in the Main Lower Level Friends Book Sale Room located at 15425 Detroit Avenue.
