Illustration Creation And Art Connection

Calling all artists in kindergarten through first grade! Do you love to look at the illustrations in picture books? Create your own masterpieces in Illustration Creation, an engaging art program featuring picture book illustration at the Lakewood Public Library. This six week program will feature a different children’s book illustrator and author each week for project inspiration and will culminate in an art show for family and friends.

Illustration Creation will be on Thursdays, March 8 through April 12, 2018 from 4 to 5 p.m. in the Main Library Activity Room of Children’s and Youth Services. The art show will be on April 19, 2018 from 4 to 4:30 p.m. in the Main Library Activity Room. Space is limited and registration is required.

Art Connection is a one day program for students in Kindergarten through Fifth grade. Fun and engaging art activities let you express your view of the world. Create your own unique piece of art to take home and show off to family and friends. Art Connection will be on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 from 4 to 5 p.m. in the Main Library Activity Room.
