New Beginnings In The New Year
Dealing with issues of grief and bereavement can be really challenging for anyone, at any time. We all know that these difficulties are frequently compounded during festive seasons, such as the one we have just come through. It sometimes does not seem to matter how much time has gone by; the feelings can still be very fresh. Why not resolve in this new year to address those feelings, with people who can relate to what you are dealing with?
The Lakewood Division of Aging and Hospice of the Western Reserve are pleased to offer the first in a series of quarterly bereavement workshops. “New Beginnings” will offer helpful tips and coping strategies for dealing with those feelings. There will also be plenty of time to share and receive encouragement from people who are going through it themselves and really do understand what you are facing. "New Beginnings" is not a support group. There are no weekly/monthly meetings, or other long-term commitments. Attend any or all of our quarterly sessions as you see fit. Coffee and refreshments will be served.
The “New Beginnings” workshop will be offered on Thursday, January 25th, at 1:00 PM at the Lawther Center, 16024 Madison Ave. This workshop is free, but participants are encouraged to reserve a seat by calling the Division of Aging Activities Office at 216-529-5005, or by emailing the Activities Office at email@example.com .
