Free Tax Assistance Available At Lakewood Division Of Aging

Tax season is upon us once again, whether we like it or not. This year, why not have your federal and state taxes prepared safely, quickly, reliably and affordably? In 2018, the Lakewood Division of Aging and AARP will once again be offering a tax preparation clinic at the Lawther Center, 16024 Madison Ave. There are no age or residency restrictions for this free service, and trained AARP volunteers will be on hand to process and file your simple federal and state returns electronically. 

The Lakewood Division of Aging will welcome AARP, as they offer tax clinics, running from Monday, February 5th, through Tuesday, April 10, 2018. Clinics will be held on Mondays and Tuesdays, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The Lawther Center will be closed on Monday, February 19th, in honor of the Presidents Day holiday. Please note: this year’s tax clinic will be by reservation only. Beginning Tuesday, January 2nd, appointments can be scheduled by calling 216-521-1515. The reservation line will be answered from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Division of Aging staff will answer any other questions you might have at the time the reservation is scheduled.
