8th Annual Harvest Pork Chop Dinner and Raffle

On Sunday, October 29, Transfiguration Parish will hold its 8th Annual Harvest Pork Chop Dinner in the parish hall at 12608 Madison Avenue, Lakewood. Dinners will be served from noon until 3:30 p.m. Each dinner includes two pork chops, mashed potatoes and gravy, sauerkraut (optional), green beans, applesauce, dinner roll, dessert, and coffee. The cost for dinner tickets is $15 for adults, $6 for children ages 5 to 12, and free for children age 4 and under. Purchasing dinner tickets in advance is strongly recommended for both dine-in and for take-out dinners. A limited number of dinners will be available at the door. Phone reservations (to be paid at the door) can be made by October 22 by calling 216-228-1134 or 216-269-9801. Please note that any unclaimed reservations will be released for sale at 3 p.m. on October 29.

In addition to the delicious dinner, this event also features a Grand Raffle, a Split-the-Pot drawing, the ever popular Basket Raffle, door prizes, and sideboards. The top prize in the Grand Raffle is $1,500 with five additional prizes of $100 each. Tickets for the Grand Raffle are $5 per ticket or $25 for six tickets. The Split-the Pot drawing is a 60/40 split between the church and the winner; tickets for Split -the-Pot cost $1 per ticket or six tickets for $5. Winners need not be present. Tickets for the Grand Raffle and the Split-the-Pot are available at the event or can be purchased prior to the event by calling the rectory at 216-521-7288, Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The event also includes two special raffles: the first for a pearl necklace valued at $400 donated by Marlen Jewelers and the second for a Cleveland Browns package valued at $350 containing four tickets and a parking pass for the December 17th games versus the Baltimore Ravens. Tickets for both special raffles are limited to 100 tickets at $5 each. 

The Basket Raffle prizes include a dinner theater package of Beck Center tickets and a $40 gift certificate to Georgetown Restaurant; two $50 gift certificates to Luca Italian Cuisine; a $100 gift card to Tartine Bistro; a $50 gift card to Angelo’s Pizza; a $50 gift certificate to Clifton Cleaners; and many other baskets filled with treats, gift cards, and many other great prizes. The drawings for the Basket Raffle will begin around 3:00 PM followed by the Split-the Pot and Grand Raffle drawings. Winners need not be present.
