Lakewood Chamber Promotes Local Businesses via 8th Annual Holiday Online Auction

On November 21st, the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce kicked off the 8th annual Holiday Bid & Buy online auction showcasing items donated by some of the area’s best locally owned businesses.

The Holiday Bid & Buy online auction allows the Chamber to promote local businesses while encouraging bidders to shop local this holiday season. By donating to the Holiday Bid & Buy online auction, businesses can take advantage of an inexpensive advertising opportunity while making a difference in the community. While shopping the auction site, bidders not only view the donated item, they also learn about the business that donated the item, and they can click through to the donor's website, online store or Facebook page. The Holiday Bid & Buy Auction allows local shoppers – plus a community of over 400,000 cause-minded bidders on the “Bidding For Good” platform – to find great deals while supporting the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce and our economic development efforts. Since 2009, the Holiday Bid & Buy online auction has attracted bidders from throughout Northeast Ohio and from coast to coast, from Seattle WA to Baltimore MD.

New auction items are being added daily. Shoppers can now bid on auction items from favorite businesses such as Aladdin's Eatery, Angelo's Pizza, and Steve Barry Buick, who donate to the auction every year - and they can bid on items from first-time donors such as Yuzu, Rhythm & Grace Ballrooom Dance Studio, Heirloom Barber Shop, and Urban Bulk Foods.
