Calling All Artists

Lakewood Council of PTA's is once again hosting the Reflections Art Program.  Reflections is sponsored by National PTA and promotes creativity through the arts from preschool through graduation.  Each year students from Lakewood Schools submit entries to their school where a chairperson organizes and judges the entries.  Council receives 20 entries from each school and judges those entries to be submitted for state and possibly national recognition. Every student is recognized for their accomplishments and for their participation and achievement in the arts.

Any student regardless of ability or artistic involvement can enter this contest. Work can be completed outside of school. 

This year’s Reflection program theme is, What Is Your Story?  This theme can be interpreted however the student desires. Tell your story through dance, a short film, a poem or story, an original song, a photo or visual work of art. Pick up a PTA Reflections Entry Form today from your school chairperson. Don't delay, all entries must be received by your chairperson the first week of December.

PTA Reflections welcomes students of all grades and all abilities to explore their inner artist. (LECPTA thru Lakewood High)
Students may explore one or all six arts disciplines (Each category has specific submission guidelines inluding, size, material and digital format.)

Dance Choreography 
Film Production 
Literature
Music Composition
Photography
Visual Arts (crayon, paint, pen, pencil...)
