Lakewood Schools' Elementary Curriculum Night Set for Oct. 20

Parents of Lakewood City Schools elementary students are encouraged to attend the Elementary Curriculum Night set for Thursday, Oct. 20 at 6:30 pm at Grant Elementary School. The Teaching & Learning Department will review the District's new reading, writing and math curriculums: Reading and Writing Workshop and Eureka Math. Staff will share with parents how they can support their child at home and where they can find resources to do so.

The District began implementing the curriculums in several phases beginning two years ago. Grades 3-5 added the Reading and Writing Workshop this year as did our middle schools. Whether your child is supported through Title One or Special Education services or receiving intervention/enrichment with their classroom teacher, the District invites parents to learn more about the impact of these important new curriculums.
