Holiday Tradition #4

Labor Day kicks off the fall season and New Years Eve closes it up. In between, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas unite families and friends creating long standing traditions. Growing up, our Thanksgiving table centerpiece was a large, candy filled gingerbread house. Over the next few days all the candy was picked off. Mysteriously candy would reappear the next day.

This tradition inspired me to start baking gingerbread and sharing with family and friends. We are now Gingerbread Homes LLC. We are a licensed, small batch, artisan bakery. All we bake is gingerbread. We make small batches using fresh ingredients and hand press and hand cut each piece into house sizes from ornament size to extra large.

After Halloween, our products will be sold at:

Beckers Donuts and Bakery – 24523 Sprague Road location, Columbia Station

In the coming weeks we plan to share recipes for our gingerbread dough, royal icing, and something new! Aquafaba – royal icing made with bean water instead of eggs for our vegan customers. All of our ingredients are purchased from local business owners. Buy local!
