Full S.T.E.A.M. Ahead

Enhance your child’s education by making learning fun and different with imaginative programs that focus on science, technology, engineering, art, and math. These programs are not registered, but first-come, first-served where tickets are given out at the Children & Youth Services desk where the program is held thirty minutes prior to the start of each program. One ticket per child. Space is limited.

Jr. Robotics Express: Diary of a Wimpy Kid – For students entering 2nd – 4th grade. Lego® WeDo Robots and Jeff Kinney’s Diary of a Wimpy Kid books combine forces to create some robotic misadventures! Two Days to Choose From: Tuesday, June 14 from 2 – 4 p.m. in the Madison Branch Auditorium OR Wednesday, June 15 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Main Library Multipurpose Room.

Robotics Express: SpaceBOTs Strike Back – For students entering 5th – 8th grade. Learn mechanics, sensors, and programming with Lego ® Mindstorms EV3 robots as you fight the evil empire! Wednesday, June 15 from 2 – 4 p.m. in the Main Library Multipurpose Room.

Jr. Video Game Creation – For students entering 1st – 3rd grade. Learn how to make your own video games with Scratch, a free development program from MIT. Bring a flash drive to save your progress and continue the fun at home. 3 Days to Choose From: Monday, June 20 from 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. in the Main Library Multipurpose Room OR Tuesday, June 21 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Madison Branch Auditorium OR Wednesday, June 22 from 2 – 4 p.m. in the Main Library Multipurpose Room.
