Friends Of Lakewood Public Library Summer Bag Of Books Sale

Good friends are hard to find, and we know it. That’s why we have a special place in our hearts for the Friends of Lakewood Public Library.

The Friends are having another great sale of books, magazines and movies at incredible prices. On Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 6 to 9 p.m. is a special, members-only preview sale (this is not a bag sale). If you have not already joined, a yearly membership may be purchased at the door for as little as $2.

On Saturday, June 4, 2016 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. the Friends are hosting their Bag of Books Sale. Fill up a big paper grocery bag with items and pay only $3! Even if you don’t fill a whole bag, the deals are still great because everything at the sale is half priced, including the individually priced better books.

Featured items for this sale include Lakewood Hospital’s medical library which consists of medical, nursing and Allied Health books. Also, a friend of the Friends with ties to the Cleveland Orchestra has donated an extensive collection of classical music record albums.

As always, all proceeds benefit the Friends of Lakewood Public Library. The Friends have supported the Library by providing materials, and funding for programming and services since 1980.
