Accessing Benefits For Older Adults

Even the best of us struggle at times with insurance issues and government assistance questions. The trick is to know where to turn to get these questions answered. The Lakewood Division of Aging is pleased to partner with the Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program, and the Cuyahoga County Department of Senior and Adult Services to get all your questions answered. On the first Tuesday of the month, a volunteer from OSHIIP will be at the Lawther Senior Center. Bring your confusing Medicare paperwork, and all your questions, and the trained volunteer will help you get your concerns resolved. Call the Lakewood Division of Aging at 216-521-1515 to schedule an Appointment.

On the third Wednesday of the month, the Division of Aging welcomes staff from the Department of Senior and Adult Services for a Benefits Check Up. Depending on your finances and certain other factors, you may be eligible for a variety of government assistance programs. Call our office at 216-521-1515 to schedule an appointment to find out where you stand. The Lawther Center, located at 16024 Madison Ave., has a wide variety of fun and educational programs. Come by and check us out!
