LCAC Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive - A Time To Share

Hundreds of volunteers make LCAC holiday foodbaskets possible for Lakewood families.

For more than twenty five years, Lakewood Charitable Assistance Corp. (LCAC) has provided Holiday Food Baskets for 600 Lakewood families and senior citizens. This neighborhood food chain is only possible with the support of the entire community. There are so many options for giving!

Share gifts of food…

Non-perishable food items are being collected for the Thanksgiving distribution at the following schools: Grant Elementary School (currently located in St. James School), Harding Middle School, Hayes Elementary School, and Horace Mann Elementary School. The junior class at Lakewood High School is sponsoring a fundraiser to help purchase perishable items needed to complete the holiday baskets.

Students from St. Edward High School will collect items from participating households in Lakewood. Area residents may see bags appear on their doorsteps throughout the month with instructions regarding items needed and pickup dates. Non-perishable items can also be dropped off at Lakewood Hardware from November 9th – 20th.

Share gifts of time…

Once the food is collected, many volunteers are needed to sort, package and deliver the Thanksgiving fixings and food staples. Save these dates and join LCAC for as little, or as much time as you can give. This is a great service project for all ages!  ages!
