Red Cross Blood Drives Slated In Lakewood

Be a hero. That’s part of the American Red Cross campaign to encourage Lakewood residents to participate in one of several upcoming blood drives around the city this summer.

The American Red Cross notes that “blood is especially needed this time of year” and has scheduled several blood drives, a couple at Lakewood City Hall.

• Monday, Aug. 10: Woman’s Club Pavilion, from 2 to 7 p.m.
• Monday, Aug. 24: Woman’s Club Pavilion, from 2 to 7 p.m.
• Thursday, Aug. 27: auditorium at Lakewood City Hall, from 1 to 6 p.m.
