Something Dada Celebrates 20 Years Of Comedy
Something Dada Improvisational Comedy Co. Celebrates 20th Anniversary on Saturday, October 25th on Beck Center’s Main Stage!
Something Dada, Cleveland's longest-running improvisational comedy company has announced it new season and will celebrate its 20th Anniversary on Saturday, October 25, 2014 on the main stage at Beck Center for the Arts! Dada’s new schedule, marking its fourth year of collaboration with Beck Center for the Arts, is confirmed through July of 2015.
The 20th Anniversary show will include a pre-show reception at 7 p.m., music by local bands and a cash bar. Something Dada will hit Beck’s main stage at 8:00pm and will perform audience suggestion-based improv comedy at a fast and furious pace. Dada’s current cast will be joined by Dada alumni from the past 20 years returning to Cleveland from across the country.
Something Dada was formed in October of 1994 and opened “Cabaret Dada Improvisational Theater” on W. 6th street in the Warehouse District in May of 1995. Cabaret Dada remained open for more than twelve years and after its closing Something Dada continued to perform in a number of different locations before entering in to a collaborative agreement with Beck Center for the Arts in 2011.
Russel Stich, one of Dada’s original eight cast members and current Artistic Director, states, “We are thrilled to have reached this historic anniversary and to have a chance to celebrate with the entire extended Dada family.”
