Hen Hopefuls: The Paschke Family

The Paschke Family - Lakewood Avenue residents who are interested in responsibly keeping hens in Lakewood.

Happy summer from the Hens in Lakewood Committee! Meet The Paschke family, Lakewood Avenue residents who are interested in responsible hen-keeping in Lakewood.

What street do you live on? Lakewood Avenue.

How long have you lived in Lakewood? 11 years. We moved here as soon as we found out we were having a baby.

Why do you choose to live in Lakewood? I feel that Lakewood is the best place to raise kids, especially at our ages. It has so much to offer and we own a gorgeous, old house too!

Why do you want to raise hens in Lakewood? I want the best for my children, especially with food. Raising hens will not only allow us to provide fresh eggs for them, but it will teach them how to care for more animals and the Earth!

Why do you think Lakewood is a community that should allow responsible hen-keeping? Lakewood is known for being a diverse, caring, progressive community. It only makes sense that Lakewood would allow something so beneficial and eco-friendly!
